Listening to the inner voice

What is this inner voice that we all have?? I was sitting with a friend and he mentioned that sometime we ignore the inner voice that guides us. His remark was in context with some food that when he eats, ignoring his inner voice, he regrets later on. The inner guide is reminding him that this food is not suitable for his body, he ignores this voice and later regrets ignoring this voice.

We can attribute many reasons for our behavior. Is it because we are stimulated or distracted by our senses, or the surroundings and their impact on the senses. Distractions and temptations are a contributor in not being tuned in to the inner self and guidance.

As I sit, nestled amongst the greenery, and nature in the rain forest, there is a great opportunity to tune into the inner being, here each moment can be savoured and the existence is through the inner being; life is not led rushed by the speeding thoughts.

Sounds of nature align our energy and creates an awareness, with a centered state of being. In this centered state the attunement to oneself and to those around is as easy as flowing water. If we allow ourselves to experience this state of of awareness, which is achieved by any action or inaction which shuts out the distractions of the mind. People have hobbies, that brings them in to this state. What happens is sometimes referred to as being “in the flow” or “in our zone”. The idea is to take the opportunity to in this state at all times. Meditation practitioners, are known to achieve this state, as the go about their daily lives, being with the doing and doing with the being.
