Dia del Amor y la Amistad - Day of Love and Friendship

I came out of the room still twirling and whirling after dancing half the night away with friends........at the top of the step I see a card and a big red chocolate heart.........the card had two red butterflies with words that touched my soul, this gesture from Kamila and Asim is so endearing, as they extend their love for each other, to include me........when we are brimming with love, it overflows and touches all those who are around................may they always stay blessed with this loving..........mmmmmm.........and absorbed in the moment I came into the kitchen to make tea..........big hug from them, closed the circle of love.........

Valentines day is a celebration dating back many centuries.............some ask why establish a particular day to appreciate and show your love and affection to that special someone...........every breath and every moment is that love, show it by a look, a touch and with gratitude

............since we do live symbolically, and celebrate other special days and occasions, we avail this one more opportunity to remind the love, and the loves of our life what he or she means to us.........how we reach out and say it is what makes it so special........to borrow these words from Khalil Gibran:

"Love gives naught but itself and takes naught but from itself. Love possesses not nor would it be possessed; for love is sufficient unto love."

"And think not you can direct the course of love, for love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course."

"Love has no other desire but to fulfill itself. But if you love and must the needs have desires, let these be your desires:
TO MELT AND BE LIKE A RUNNING BROOK THAT SINGS ITS MELODY TO THE NIGHT
TO KNOW THE PAIN OF TOO MUCH TENDERNESS
TO BE WOUNDED BY YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING OF LOVE;
AND TO BLEED WILLINGLY AND JOYFULLY
TO WAKE AT DAWN WITH A WINGED HEART AND GIVE THANKS FOR ANOTHER DAY OF LOVING
TO, AT THE NOON HOUR MEDITATE LOVE'S ECSTASY;
TO RETURN HOME AT EVENTIDE WITH GRATITUDE;
AND THEN TO SLEEP WITH A PRAYER FOR THE BELOVED IN YOUR HEART AND A SONG
OF PRAISE UPON YOUR  LIPS"
