another illusion - time

a chance encounter, a familiar voice and one looks at the face and wonders, how do i know this person, or do i know this person...............the recognition happens and the illusion of time ends..........the chatting and the conversation continues as we remember, sharing the common past, updating the present.........another phone call to a dear friend............i say "hello" and think he possibly cannot recognise my voice, and this unexpected phone call,  when i say "you probably don't remember who this is"........i am surprised when after a brief pause, there is instant recognition, and we chat, in snippets, once again there is so much to share...........as he ends the conversation with the comment "never, ever, say to me that i do not recognise your voice"..........i find the comment  endearing.............living is in the present, thoughts are an illusion of time......
